This FUSIC Heart Report Generator was created by Dr Christopher Partridge as a free tool to support point-of-care echocardiography reporting in acute and critical care settings.
This tool is not affiliated with the Intensive Care Society.
How it works
This application is a single, self-contained HTML file. It runs entirely within your browser — no internet connection is required beyond the initial page load, no data is sent to any server, and nothing is stored anywhere. When you export (for example to Excel), the file is generated locally on your device. Plain-text export only copies to your clipboard. Once the browser tab is closed, all entered information is permanently gone.
This tool does not collect, transmit, store, or process patient data in any form.
Intended use & limitations
This tool is designed to assist clinicians in structuring echocardiography findings into a readable report format. It is intended as a documentation aid only and does not provide clinical decision support, diagnostic conclusions, or medical advice.
All clinical interpretations, measurements, and conclusions entered into this tool remain the sole responsibility of the reporting clinician. Auto-generated values — including LV size categorisation, stroke volume, cardiac output, and diastolic indices — are derived from standard published formulae and reference ranges, but should always be reviewed in the context of the individual patient, image quality, and clinical scenario. They are intended as a prompt, not a substitute for clinical judgement.
This tool has not been validated as a medical device and is not registered as such. It should not be used as the sole basis for clinical decision-making.
Medicolegal notice
Use of this application does not constitute or replace a formal echocardiography report verified by an accredited practitioner. Clinicians using this tool remain personally and professionally responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of all data entered, all interpretations made, and all clinical actions taken on the basis of those findings. Supervision requirements applicable to your scope of practice, employer, and training programme remain in effect regardless of the supervision status selected within this tool.
