This POCUS Report Generator was created by Dr Christopher Partridge as a free tool to support point-of-care ultrasound reporting in acute and critical care settings.
This tool is not affiliated with the Intensive Care Society or the Society of Acute Medicine.
How it works
This tool has been designed with common information governance issues in mind. It does not collect, transmit, store, or process patient data in any form beyond your active local browser session.
- Browser-based execution: It runs as a single, self-contained HTML file. No internet connection is required after the initial page load.
- Complete data privacy: No data is sent to any external server, and nothing is stored beyond your local machine.
- Local exports: When exporting files (such as PDFs), all generation happens locally on your device.
- Clipboard plain-text: Plain-text exports copy directly to your clipboard only.
- Zero retention: Once the browser tab is closed, all entered information is permanently deleted.
Intended use & limitations
- This tool is designed to assist clinicians in structuring point-of-care ultrasound findings into a readable report format.
- No clinical decision support: This tool is strictly a documentation aid and does not provide clinical decision support, diagnostic conclusions, or medical advice.
- Clinical responsibility: All clinical interpretations, measurements, and conclusions entered remain the sole responsibility of the reporting clinician.
- Information governance: Users are personally responsible for ensuring full adherence to the Information Governance (IG) guidelines of their local healthcare organisation.
- Unregistered tool: This software has not been validated or registered as a medical device and must not be used as the sole basis for clinical decision-making.

Use of this application does not constitute or replace a formal imaging report verified by an accredited specialist. Clinicians using this tool remain personally and professionally responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of all data entered, all interpretations made, and all clinical actions taken on the basis of those findings.
Supervision requirements applicable to your scope of practice, employer, and training programme remain fully in effect, regardless of any supervision status selected within this tool.
